Barren Ridge Vineyards

Barren Ridge Vineyards is a fourth-generation family-owned winery in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, set on land that was once the family's apple orchard and childhood farm. Today the estate produces an award-winning portfolio of red, white, and small-batch wines against views of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the east and the Allegheny Mountains to the west. Beyond wine tastings, Barren Ridge Vineyards hosts weddings and private celebrations across several settings. The Wedding Lawn is an open grassy field ringed by grapevines, suited to ceremonies set against mountain sunsets, while the Patio offers vineyard and farm views with easy access to the winery's amenities. Indoors, the Audrey Blackford Room is a ballroom with hardwood floors, a vaulted ceiling, and a stone fireplace, framed by windows overlooking both mountain ranges. Together these spaces accommodate 50 to 130 guests, with additional smaller locations available for gatherings of up to 50. The winery also hosts regular programming for visitors, including Wine Down Wednesdays with live music, Sunshine & Wine Thursdays happy hours, and trivia nights.
