Barrister Winery

Barrister Winery is an award-winning urban winery set in a renovated historic brick and timber building in downtown Spokane. Founded in 2001 by two lawyers whose garage winemaking hobby outgrew itself, Barrister has gone on to earn "Best of Show" at the Los Angeles Wines of the World competition and consistent 90+ point scores in leading wine publications — and its home doubles as one of the city's most distinctive event venues. The Gallery, on the winery's main floor, hosts up to 225 guests for weddings, receptions, and corporate dinners, with a backlit tasting bar, a spacious receiving area, and a large dining space that carries an evening from dinner through dancing. Complimentary pillar candle centerpieces provide a simple, elegant decor base against the exposed brick and timber. Outside, the Courtyard is an urban garden framed by potted trees and flowers beneath a canopy of twinkling lights — a favorite for summer weddings and al fresco corporate celebrations, accommodating up to 150 guests from May through September. Barrister has partnered with Beacon Hill Catering and Events for over a decade, offering full-service catering, planning, and production for events from conference spin-offs to weddings.
