Bashore Scout Reservations

Bashore Scout Reservation is a 400-plus acre Scouts BSA camp set in the foothills of Pennsylvania's Blue Mountains, near the Appalachian Trail and within driving distance of Hersheypark and Amish Country. Established in 1947, the reservation has grown into one of the Northeast Region's noted summer camp properties, and it opens its grounds to weddings and private events outside of its summer Scouting season. The camp's rustic, wooded setting has made it a popular choice for weddings, along with school field trips, church picnics, retreats, and club gatherings. Ceremonies are typically held in the Camp Chapel, seating up to 150 guests, with receptions moving to the Dining Hall, which seats up to 350 and features a stone fireplace and an on-site sound system and projector available for an additional cost. Beyond its event spaces, the reservation offers a 5.5-acre lake for paddle-boarding, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, rowing, and fishing, an Olympic-sized pool, shooting sports ranges, a climbing gym, and miles of hiking trails. Three cabins and lodges, accommodating 22 to 40 people each, are also available to rent for camping weekends.
