The Bayside Historical Society makes its home in The Castle, a Gothic Revival landmark building completed in 1887 as the Officers' Club for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Fort Totten in Bayside, Queens. Designated a New York City landmark in 1974 and listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places in 1986, the building has served as the Society's base of operations since 1984 following a major restoration. The Castle is available for private site rentals including weddings, celebrations, and reunions, accommodating up to 125 guests. Spaces include a grand ballroom with waterfront views, a sunlit reception hall with cathedral ceilings, an intimate dining room with an adjoining gallery, and a first-floor board room. Rental packages include tables and chairs, kitchen access for licensed caterers, coatroom service, and complimentary on-site parking.
