BayView Inn

Bay View Inn is a historic Victorian country inn set within the Bay View Association, a National Historic Landmark community along the shores of Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay in Petoskey, Michigan. Built in the late 19th century and carrying more than 140 years of history, the inn has been thoughtfully restored while preserving its Victorian character — from its chandelier-lit dining rooms to its garden and lake views. For weddings and private events, the inn offers seven distinct event venues accommodating up to 150 seated guests, with ceremony settings in the seasonal Staffordshire Garden or in historic indoor spaces year-round. The Howard Room, the inn's largest event space, features a built-in dance floor, vintage chandeliers, and classic furnishings suited to receptions, celebrations, and awards dinners. The Staffordshire Room offers an intimate setting with garden views for smaller gatherings, and the Lakeside Deck opens onto views of Little Traverse Bay for seasonal outdoor events. The inn's in-house culinary team crafts catering menus showcasing locally sourced produce and dairy from northern Michigan farms. With 31 Victorian-style guest rooms on property, the inn also accommodates wedding room blocks for out-of-town guests.
