Beauvoir

Beauvoir is a historic estate built in 1852 on 60 acres along the Gulf Coast in Biloxi, Mississippi. The property served as the final residence of Confederate President Jefferson Davis and operates today as a historic house museum. The main house features a distinctive raised cottage design with wraparound porches overlooking the Mississippi Sound. Private events take place across several distinct areas of the grounds: the front lawn, west and east fields, and a heritage rose garden planted with period-appropriate varieties. A large indoor space with a foyer and private entrance accommodates gatherings that call for a more sheltered setting. Outside catering is permitted, and docent-led house tours with period-costumed interpreters can be incorporated into any occasion. The estate welcomes weddings, family reunions, birthday celebrations, retirement parties, and other private gatherings.
