Bennett's Creek Park is a 56.8-acre public park in Suffolk, Virginia, where Bennett's Creek meets the Nansemond River. The waterside setting gives the park three boat ramps and a crabbing and fishing pier with handicap access, alongside a nature trail, open fields, tennis courts, a skate park, and a disc golf course. For gatherings, the park offers three covered picnic shelters available for reserved use, each accommodating up to 25 guests, making them a fitting spot for a casual outdoor reception, birthday, or family celebration by the water. Reservations can be made up to 365 days in advance, either in person at the Parks and Recreation administration office or online. Larger gatherings of 100 or more guests, or any event using tents, stages, or similar temporary structures, require a Special Event Permit. Amplified sound and DJs, bounce houses, alcohol, and fireworks are not permitted at the park's shelters.
