Bernardus Lodge & Spa is a boutique luxury resort tucked among 28 acres of rolling vineyards, orchards, and gardens in Carmel Valley, California. Situated against the Santa Lucia Mountains on the Monterey Peninsula, the lodge offers a wine country retreat defined by ranch-chic accommodations and a relaxed, sophisticated approach to hospitality.
The lodge hosts weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations across more than 4,300 square feet of flexible indoor space and 20,000 square feet of beautifully landscaped outdoor grounds — including an estate vineyard. Event spaces range from the 2,160-square-foot Meritage Ballroom, with 22-foot vaulted ceilings and views of the surrounding gardens, to the open-air Wedding Garden framed by majestic oak trees, over 100 varieties of roses, and panoramic valley views. Gatherings from 10 to 200 guests can be accommodated across the various spaces.
Catering for all events is provided by the culinary team at Lucia Restaurant & Bar, under the direction of Chef Cal Stamenov. The team crafts handcrafted menus drawing on local wines and seasonal ingredients from the lodge's own organic vegetable garden.
