Blalock Lakes

Blalock Lakes Club is a private sporting club set on 1,600 acres in Newnan, Georgia, 45 miles south of Atlanta. The land carries a history stretching back centuries — Creek Indians once called it home, and in the late 1940s, local businessman and state politician Daniel Braxton Blalock developed the property as a private family retreat where generations gathered to fish, water ski, ride horses, hunt, and explore the natural landscape. The club's centerpiece for gatherings is The Lodge, situated at the highest point on the property with commanding views, exposed beam ceilings, a stone fireplace, a full kitchen, and a back porch with a fire pit and lawn — a setting the club describes as ideal for private events. The surrounding grounds include a stocked lake with a boat house, a freeform pool with a vanishing-edge design, a 24-stall equestrian barn with lighted arenas, a 12-station sporting clays course, and miles of riding trails through the property's wooded acreage.
