Boyd Lake State Park

Boyd Lake State Park is a water-recreation destination in northern Colorado, situated at the westernmost edge of the plains near the foot of Longs Peak in Loveland. The park encompasses 2,082 land acres and 1,700 water surface acres, offering expansive views and an active outdoor setting for group gatherings and special events. The Mariner Point Group Picnic Area accommodates up to 200 guests and is available for exclusive reservation from mid-May through mid-September. The space sits on a secluded peninsula near the marina cove and features a covered pavilion, 20 picnic tables, electricity and running water, food preparation countertops, a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, a private playground, and a dedicated parking lot. Rental includes 12 hours of event time. Groups hosting activities beyond standard picnicking — such as bounce houses — may submit a Special Activity Agreement through the park office. Boyd Lake State Park is managed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and is accessible daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. The park is located at 3720 N County Road 11-C, Loveland, CO 80538.
