Bruce Mound Winter Sports Area

Bruce Mound Winter Sports Area is a Clark County-operated ski hill in Merrillan, Wisconsin, established in 1948 by the Half Moon Ski Club and under county operation since 1960. The hill offers five lifts, including one triple chair, serving ten scenic slopes for skiing and snowboarding, plus ten snow tubing runs with a conveyor lift. Slopes are lighted for night skiing, and the area relies on snowmaking and grooming equipment to maintain conditions through the season. At the base of the hill, the Bruce Mound Chalet pairs a restaurant with a venue for private events. Surrounded by wooded, hilly terrain, the chalet and its grounds host weddings and other celebrations, with seating for 275 or more guests, tables and chairs included, and exclusive use of the venue Friday through Sunday. Outdoor ceremonies are held on the grounds as well as indoors in the chalet, which is handicap accessible with large, flat parking areas.
