Opened on January 19, 1929, the Buffalo Museum of Science anchors the east end of Humboldt Parkway in Buffalo, New York. The building is operated by the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences — an institution whose origins reach back to 1836 and whose founding petition was signed by former U.S. President Millard Fillmore. Today the museum holds more than 700,000 specimens and eight interactive science studios, shaped by comprehensive renovations that began in 2010. The Kellogg Observatory on campus was restored and reopened in July 2018. For private events, the museum offers more than 10 rooms and halls suitable for weddings, corporate gatherings, meetings, seminars, and holiday parties. The facility provides free parking, elevator access, high-speed internet, and setup and teardown service. Rental events are scheduled Monday through Sunday during museum hours, with evening availability for multi-space and museum-wide bookings.
