Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village

Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village is a 35-acre open-air museum and historic event venue in Amherst, New York, established by the Town of Amherst in 1972. The campus features ten 19th-century buildings relocated from sites across the region to preserve them from demolition — including historic homes, churches, a blacksmith shop, and one-room schoolhouses — alongside a working farmstead and an indoor museum housing a collection of over 40,000 artifacts. Private events unfold across several distinct rental spaces suited to gatherings of many sizes. The Ballroom accommodates up to 150 guests with tables, chairs, and AV equipment included; the outdoor Rotary Pavilion offers a casual open-air setting for up to 50; and the expansive Historic Green serves as an outdoor backdrop for receptions of up to 350 guests. A Conference Room is available for smaller corporate meetings and private gatherings of up to 30. Weddings, corporate functions, and social celebrations can be arranged through flexible ceremony and reception packages across the historic grounds.
