Bull Shoals–White River State Park sits along the shores of both Bull Shoals Lake and the White River in north-central Arkansas, where the White River meets the Bull Shoals Dam in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. At the center of the park stands the James A. Gaston Visitor Center, a 15,744-square-foot facility set high above the dam, featuring interpretive exhibits, the Johnboat Theater, a 1,720-square-foot exhibit hall, an observation tower, and two classrooms available for private rental. The park offers event organizers a scenic natural backdrop, with rentable meeting rooms inside the visitor center accommodating gatherings of varying sizes, as well as a standard pavilion for outdoor group use. Surrounding facilities include 109 campsites, a riverside marina with boat rentals, and trailheads for hiking and mountain biking. Bull Shoals–White River State Park is recognized as one of Arkansas's premier trout fishing destinations, drawing groups who pair their events with interpretive programs such as campfire-cooking demonstrations, trout fishing workshops, and nature walks led by park staff.
