Butte Des Morts Country Club

Butte des Morts Country Club is a private country club in Appleton, Wisconsin, built around a golf course designed by Chicago architect W.C. Jackson and opened in 1924. Set on more than 140 private acres of sloping hills and wooded terrain along the Fox Cities, the club pairs its golf tradition with a 36,000-square-foot clubhouse built to host groups from three to 300. The club's grand Ballroom is reached by a staircase opening onto the clubhouse's upper floor and overlooks the golf course, with a bar area and an adjoining terrace for guests to enjoy before and after dinner. It accommodates wedding receptions, dinner-dances, parties, and corporate meetings for up to 300 guests, with wedding reception capacity of up to 280. Beyond the Ballroom, the clubhouse holds several additional gathering spaces, including the Hayes Family Library, a fireplace-warmed room with its own private bar, and the Fairway Room, outfitted with audio-visual equipment for business meetings and presentations. The grounds also include a heated outdoor pool with a zero-entry wading area and diving board, tennis and pickleball courts, and groomed winter trails used for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The club's culinary program, led by Chef Ray and his kitchen staff, serves both casual and formal dining throughout the clubhouse.
