About Cafe Du Parc
A travel guide from Forbes Café du Parc, a highly recommended restaurant, is a quintessential French brasserie that serves classic French dishes with a modern twist in a relaxed atmosphere. In 1997, Pierre L'Enfant, a French-American engineer, opened Café du Parc as a French restaurant in the Willard InterContinental, which was inspired by the Beaux-Arts architecture of the Willard and the French-inspired design of Washington, D.C. The restaurant's mission was to bring a piece of France back to the Nation's Capital. It is located on Pennsylvania Avenue, across from Pershing Park, a national park that is home to the World War I Memorial, and has been described as being reminiscent of a Parisian-style sidewalk café. The restaurant, which pays homage to traditional French cuisine, provides diners with a variety of culinary options, ranging from coffee and pastries at its coffee shop, Le Café, to breakfast, lunch, and dinner served on the restaurant's outdoor terrace or in the main dining room. A large takeout menu of classic French dishes, cocktails, and desserts is available at Café du Parc for those who prefer to eat while on the go. In addition, every Friday and Saturday, beginning at 5:30 p.m., come out to the terrace and listen to jazz. This Washington, D.C. restaurant is located along Pennsylvania Avenue in the heart of the city, between the White House and the United States Capitol Building. Café du Parc is located next to the legendary Willard InterContinental, a landmark hotel with a 200-year history that is within walking distance of many of the city's most notable attractions, including the various monuments, memorials, and museums on the National Mall and the Washington Monument. Café du Parc's seasonal outside terrace, which is surrounded by the sights and sounds of the nation's capital, is widely regarded as one of the best al fresco dining options in the city and is extremely popular with both visitors and locals. Dining in Confined Spaces The Pershing Room is a private room in the Pershing Hotel. The Pershing Private Dining Room, which overlooks the iconic lobby of the historic Willard InterContinental, provides a vibrant and intimate setting that is ideal for any occasion. The Pershing Room at Cafe du Parc is a truly unique space that can accommodate private events for up to 50 people seated, 75 people reception style, and 30 people family style. From birthdays and baby showers to board meetings and business luncheons, to rehearsal dinners and post wedding brunches, the Pershing Room is the perfect venue for any occasion. The space is also available in semi-private mode and can accommodate 25 people comfortably and 45 people reception style.
