Established in 1942, the property sits about 20 minutes from Baltimore and an hour from Washington, D.C., making it an accessible destination for groups who want a wooded escape without a long drive. For weddings, the camp offers exclusive weekend buyouts that include full access to all event, dining, meeting, and lodging spaces from Friday afternoon through Sunday evening — accommodating up to 180 overnight guests in heated and air-conditioned cabins. Indoor event spaces include the Thunderbird Lodge, a rustic gathering hall with two stone fireplaces and a full commercial kitchen seating up to 200 guests, and The Hacienda, a bright and climate-controlled space for up to 80.
