Capital Cruises

Capital Cruises has operated on Lady Bird Lake in Austin since 1991, docking at the Hyatt Regency on Barton Springs Road. Its fleet ranges from the flagship M.V. Pride and Joy II, a 75-foot double-decked yacht with a climate-controlled lower deck, down to intimate electric Myachts and self-driven Donut Boats, giving planners a boat sized to nearly any group. Cruises take in views of the downtown Austin skyline, Zilker Park, limestone bluffs, and the Congress Avenue Bridge bats, and the company's private charters are built around that scenery for weddings, rehearsal dinners, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and corporate outings. Guests can bring their own food and beverages, arrange plated catering, or add a margarita machine, band, DJ, or casino night, and boats can be decorated for the occasion (excluding confetti, rice, and similar items that could harm the lake). Attire on board runs from black tie to Austin-casual summer wear, and most vessels include a stereo system so hosts can set their own soundtrack.
