There are a total of 26 rooms, including 12 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 2 full kitchens, and 2 dining areas. 2 large front porches with views of the harbor, a large backyard with patio and garden, and an attached garage. The property is also accessible to people with disabilities. The Captain Morse House, a beautiful piece of Edgartown's history, was built in the Greek Revival style in 1840 and is a National Historic Landmark. Captain Morse sailed to the California gold fields from his wharf at the foot of his street, where he lived in a boarding house. As a result of its preservation of its original character, the house is considered to be an exceptionally fine example of a NE Whaling Captain's Home. Guests staying at the house are invited to a few special events each year, which are announced in advance. Weddings, corporate retreats, vow renewals, life celebrations, and, our specialty, family reunions have all taken place at our facility.
