About Carroll Hall
Carroll Hall is a rare and unexpected event space featuring a botanic garden in Brooklyn. We welcome all types of private events, from weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, and birthday parties to art exhibits, performances, corporate functions, fundraisers and film shoots. The space encompasses a total of 10,000 square feet, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor areas. For indoor events, we have an open warehouse space, a skylit indoor catering room, and a private mezzanine lounge. Ultimately, the garden is the heart of our space, created as a quiet retreat among plants, birds, insects, and urban wildlife. Tucked in the back of our garden is a discreet wooden "treehouse", perfect for a quiet moment during any event. Carroll Hall and Dameron Architecture were awarded the 2022 AIA New York Design Award Citation for Reclaiming Urban Space. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our very foundation, which uses original bricks and existing ceramic brick walls from the prior warehouse structure, and most of the interior wood is reclaimed. - What is the venue capacity?
- This property includes several outdoor and indoor spaces to accommodate priate events. The Garden can host events for up to 109 seated/130 standingguests. The Warehouse can cater for 65 seated/95 standing guests. The maximum capacity for the entire venue (indoor + outdoor) is 130.
- Does the venue have any décor restrictions?
- In order to preserve and protect the space for future use, we have specific guidelines around decorating that are laid out clearly in the rental agreement. We review these with you at the time of booking and will go over any questions you might have.
- Is there a venue coordinator available to help with event logistics?
- You are required to have a professional day-of coordinator or a professional wedding planner who is onsite for your event. Carroll Hall does not provide a day-of coordinator. Our staff helps coordinate with vendors and oversee venue operations during your event.
- Does the venue have an approved or preferred vendor list?
- Carroll Hall has preferred vendors but you are welcome to bring in your own. New vendors must sign a contract with Carroll Hall and carry their own insurance. Carroll Hall carries its own liquor license and so our bar packages are exclusive.
- Is the venue handicap accessible?
- Carroll Hall is ADA compliant. All public spaces inside and out are on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible. The only spaces that are not on the ground floor are the private mezzanine and treehouse areas. There is also an ADA accessible bathroom with a changing table.
