City of St. Petersburg Coliseum

Built in 1924 and purchased by the City of St. Petersburg in 1989, the Coliseum is one of the Tampa Bay area's most distinctive multi-use event facilities. Listed as a local landmark within the Downtown St. Petersburg National Register District, it has undergone extensive renovations that preserve its historic architecture while supporting a wide range of events — from weddings and fundraising galas to concerts, trade shows, proms, and corporate functions. The main floor spans 15,500 square feet of red oak, with a permanent stage measuring 37 feet wide by 20 feet deep. The space accommodates 600 to 800 guests for banquet-style events with a dance floor, up to 1,100 guests for banquet seating without a dance floor, and up to 1,800 for general admission concerts and standing events. An integrated JBL sound system, stage lighting with 34 pars, and two loading docks are available on-site. Pre-approved catering vendors and in-house beverage service round out the event infrastructure, and more than 800 parking spaces are within walking distance.
