Colleton River Club

Colleton River Club is a private, member-owned community in Bluffton, South Carolina, set along the Colleton River amid Lowcountry marshes and Live Oaks draped in Spanish moss. The property is anchored by two clubhouses: the Dye Clubhouse, designed in the style of a Southern plantation home with a grand exterior staircase, columns, and an 18-foot-wide veranda overlooking the Chechessee River and Port Royal Sound; and the Nicklaus Clubhouse, a 30,000-square-foot building with sweeping views of the course's final four holes and sunsets over the Colleton River. Within the Nicklaus Clubhouse, a ballroom is set up for weddings alongside a well-appointed Wine Room suited to intimate private dining, in addition to a fine dining room, a casual bar, and lounges. The Dye Clubhouse offers a members' bar, a formal dining room, and several smaller breakout rooms, along with a rooftop lounge and outdoor patio added during a 2023 renovation. The community's roots trace back to the 1700s, when land-granted members of the Colleton family established the area as Footpoint Plantation, with history dating even earlier to the 16th century and events from the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.
