Cooperstown Lake House

The Lake House Restaurant & Lodge sits on the shores of Canadarago Lake in Richfield Springs, New York, 15 miles from Cooperstown. Built in 1843, the property carries nearly two centuries of history — from its early days as a Prohibition-era speakeasy reportedly frequented by gangster Jack "Legs" Diamond, to its reinvention as a flourishing resort hotel in the 1930s under the stewardship of chef Andrew Canacaris. The Corrigan family has operated The Lake House since 1997, and the next generation is now continuing that tradition. For weddings and private events, the venue offers outdoor ceremony and reception space on its expansive lakefront lawns, an outdoor stage, and an indoor dining room and tavern.
