Crosskeys Vineyards

CrossKeys Vineyards is a family-owned estate winery on 125 acres in Mt. Crawford, Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, about 15 minutes from Harrisonburg. Its Tuscan-style villa looks out over the estate's own vineyards toward Massanutten Mountain and the Blue Ridge, on land the Bakhtiar family first planted in 2001; the tasting room opened in 2008 pouring 100% estate-grown Virginia wine. The property takes its name and crossed-keys symbol from the historic Cross Keys Tavern, a 19th-century gathering place that also served as a place of healing for wounded soldiers during the 1862 Battle of Cross Keys — a nod to hospitality the estate carries into its weddings and private events today. Weddings and private events draw on the villa's mix of indoor rooms and outdoor terraces, courtyards, and a piazza, with onsite gourmet catering, a dedicated event manager, and professional event staff. The estate also hosts bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, corporate retreats, and other private gatherings, and operates a bistro and tasting room open daily. CrossKeys is led by owners Bob and Nikoo Bakhtiar alongside their sons Saam and Babak.
