Crown Uptown

Crown Uptown Theatre is a historic atmospheric venue in Wichita's College Hill neighborhood, designed by the Boller Brothers and built by George Siedhoff in 1928. The theatre's interior features a distinctive "open sky" ceiling with original star lights, a curved midnight blue ceiling, and Spanish/Moorish-inspired plaster details that create a setting unlike any modern event space. The main theatre accommodates up to 500 guests for weddings, receptions, and banquets, with flexible layouts for seated dinners, cocktail receptions, and corporate gatherings. A Broadway-style stage — one of the largest in Wichita — anchors the room, supported by a professional lighting and sound system that can be customized for any event type. The venue also features a full bar, a catering kitchen, and permits outside catering, giving event planners broad flexibility in how they design the dining experience. Crown Uptown hosts weddings, galas, graduations, fundraisers, corporate events, and private celebrations, and is fully handicap accessible.
