Cypress Bend Vineyards

Cypress Bend Vineyards sits on ancestral farmland along the Lumber River in Wagram, North Carolina, in the coastal plain of Scotland County. Known as "Riverton," the property has been in the family since 1807, when it was settled by Reverend Daniel White and his wife Catherine Campbell White; their descendants opened the vineyard to the public in June of 2005. The winery specializes in the muscadine grape, cultivating the Carlos, Noble, and Magnolia cultivars into eighteen muscadine table wines that range from dry to sweet, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. River-fed soil, long rows of vines, and cypress trees lining the water give the grounds a distinctly Southern character. For events, the property offers a patio and veranda, a large event tent, and an indoor Harvest Room, making it well suited to vineyard weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, family reunions, and corporate gatherings. An on-site event planner helps coordinate each celebration, and every other Friday the vineyard hosts Jazzy Fridays, an evening of live music and dancing under the tent.
