Deltaville Maritime Museum

The Deltaville Maritime Museum & Holly Point Nature Park sits at the confluence of the Piankatank and Rappahannock rivers and the Chesapeake Bay, in a community known as "The Boating Capital of the Chesapeake Bay." Established in 2003 by a group of local volunteers, the museum preserves the maritime heritage of Virginia's lower Chesapeake Bay, with a particular focus on the region's wooden boatbuilding industry dating to the late 1800s. Its exhibits include the John A. Coe Library and archival collections, along with two historic boats, the Explorer and the F.D. Crockett. On the adjoining grounds, the museum's Pavilion offers an indoor and outdoor, year-round space for parties, socials, wedding receptions, dinners, and reunions. Set within the museum's landscaped waterfront property, the Pavilion gives hosts a rustic, nautical backdrop overlooking Jackson Creek for celebrations of all kinds.
