About Denver Performing Arts Complex
We would like to note that the property on which the Denver Performing Arts Complex is situated, as well as the ground on which we stand, live, and receive our education, is traditionally held to belong to the Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapaho peoples. Additionally, we acknowledge the existence of the forty-eight modern tribal nations that have a long-standing connection to the territories that are now included in the state of Colorado. Our country was created on the exclusion and erasure of Indigenous Peoples, and we have not stopped doing that since our founding. As we intentionally honor and celebrate the Indigenous communities in our City and express our gratitude for their ongoing and significant contributions, may this acknowledgment serve as a demonstration of a commitment to dismantling ongoing legacies of oppression and inequities. This commitment will be demonstrated as we honor and celebrate the Indigenous communities in our City. Let's not forget that this land belonged to them long before we settled here and claimed it as our own. With a diverse range of one-of-a-kind cultural spaces that can accommodate a wide variety of programming, we are happy to play host each year to thousands of performances, festivals, and other special events. We offer the ideal setting for your upcoming event, whether it be on stage, in a salon, inside, or outdoors.
