Dowds' Country Inn & Event Center

The Dowds' Country Inn & Event Center is a 20-room country inn in Lyme, New Hampshire, operating out of a historic building renovated in 1989 from an 18th-century home. The property has grown from a quaint bed and breakfast into a full-service event venue that has hosted weddings, corporate retreats, reunions, and celebrations of all kinds for over 25 years. The inn has been voted "Best of the Best" by Market Surveys of America for 17 consecutive years. The centerpiece for larger gatherings is the 200-seat Banquet Hall, originally the barn and now a restored reception space with an adjacent courtyard and patio — ideal for outdoor cocktail receptions and dancing. A Sun Room accommodates smaller celebrations including company parties, bridal showers, baby showers, and birthday parties. The Carriage House offers a built-in bar, basket-weave brick floors, and historic character well suited to cocktail receptions. The inn provides full in-house catering and bar services across all event spaces, and stocks A/V equipment for corporate meetings and retreats. Twenty guest rooms on-site make Dowds' a convenient single destination for multi-day events and out-of-town attendees.
