Dude Rancher Lodge

The Dude Rancher Lodge is a historic downtown hotel in Billings, Montana, welcoming guests since 1950. Built with bricks salvaged from the original St. Vincent Hospital, the property earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010 and remains one of Billings' few locally owned and operated hotels. Original Western artwork by cowboy illustrator Will James adorns the walls, and the carpeting features the insignias of the ranching families who helped establish the property. For private gatherings, the lodge offers two distinct event spaces. The Stirrup Café accommodates up to 40 guests for breakfast meetings, lunch gatherings, and daytime events, while the intimate Fireside Room hosts up to 15 guests around a private fireplace — well suited for small receptions, meet-and-greets, and community group meetings. On-site catering through the Stirrup Café is available, and outside catering is welcome with no permits required.
