East Midwood Jewish Center (EMJC) is a historic synagogue and event venue in Brooklyn, New York. Founded in 1924 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building is recognized as an outstanding example of early twentieth-century synagogue design and has played a significant role in the development of the New York Jewish community. Its landmark interiors have served as a backdrop for film and television productions, including the series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel." EMJC opens its distinctive spaces to weddings, life cycle celebrations, private gatherings, business functions, and lectures. The venue includes the historic Main Sanctuary, the Grand Ballroom, and the Regency Room, all supported by an on-site kosher catering kitchen. An active egalitarian Conservative congregation since its founding, EMJC continues to welcome guests from across the community for events of all scales.
