Echo Lake Inn

Built around 1840 by Frank Josselyn on the site of an even older 1799 structure, the Echo Lake Inn is one of only six inns still operating in Vermont that were originally constructed as inns. It sits on Dublin Road in the village of Tyson, part of Plymouth, Vermont, on ten acres bordering Echo Lake near Okemo Mountain. For weddings, the property centers on the Wedding Dell, a natural amphitheater set into the surrounding forest, with the nearby Wishing Well offering an alternate ceremony spot. Receptions move into a dedicated wedding tent outfitted with a dance floor and bar, and couples who book the inn for the weekend can house their whole wedding party across its 20 guestrooms and 8 condominiums. Guests have access to a seasonal pool, jacuzzi, tennis and pickleball court, kayaks, canoes, and rowboats for exploring the lake, plus a restaurant and pub serving farm-to-table dishes made with local, sustainably sourced ingredients.
