Efland Cheeks Park Community Center

Efland-Cheeks Park and Community Center is a public recreation facility operated by Orange County in Efland, North Carolina, co-located with Efland-Cheeks School. The park was developed in phases between 1991 and 2006, growing to include a lighted quarter-mile paved walking track, a lighted ballfield and football field, outdoor basketball courts, a playground, a woodland walking path, and picnic shelters with tables and grills that can be reserved for gatherings. The community center anchors the site with indoor spaces suited to meetings, classes, and community events. It offers a multi-purpose room, a stage, a game room, a multi-media room with desktop computers, an exercise equipment room, a warming kitchen, and Wi-Fi. The center is run in partnership with United Voices of Efland Cheeks, a local 501(c)(3) non-profit. Picnic shelters, athletic fields, and the community center can all be reserved through Orange County, making the park a flexible setting for both outdoor celebrations and indoor gatherings.
