Ellis Park

Ellis Park Racing & Gaming is a historic Thoroughbred horse racing venue in Henderson, Kentucky, tracing its roots to 1922 when the Green River Jockey Club first opened the track. In 1925, James C. Ellis purchased the property, and the park was officially renamed in his honor on September 7, 1954. Today Ellis Park operates year-round, offering live racing every summer alongside simulcast wagering, historical horse racing machines, and sports betting. The facility hosts private events, meetings, and celebrations across a selection of dedicated event spaces, supported by an in-house banquet menu and a team available to customize each gathering. Ellis Park also accommodates outside catering for groups that prefer to bring their own culinary arrangements. With live Thoroughbred racing running July through August, events during the racing season can incorporate the energy of the track as a backdrop.
