Expo Square is a multi-purpose event complex in Tulsa, Oklahoma, tracing its roots to the Tulsa County Free Fair, which began in 1903. The fairgrounds moved to their current site between 15th and 21st Streets in 1923, and a 1931 bond funded construction of the Pavilion, Tulsa's historic art deco arena, which remains a home for concerts, horse shows, and family entertainment today. A 1960s modernization added the 446,400-square-foot Exposition Center, which once housed the International Petroleum Exposition, and later phases through the 2008 renovation modernized the barns, parking, and the SageNet Center. The 76-foot Golden Driller statue, added in 1966, stands at the entrance to the SageNet Center and has become the site's defining landmark. Today the complex includes the SageNet Center, Exchange Center, Central Park Hall, and the Pavilion, offering event producers a range of clear-span exhibition space and arena settings. Central Park Hall pairs art deco architectural details with a second-floor mezzanine overlooking the main exhibit floor, while the SageNet Center's upper and lower levels provide expansive, flexible square footage for large-scale shows and events.
