Our rooms tell the stories of civilizations. Imagine what they could say about your event. Guests at the Field Museum will discover artifacts from civilizations past, explore almost every corner of the globe, learn about new scientific discoveries, and walk away inspired! No where else can guests dine under the largest dinosaur ever discovered! As you enter Stanley Field Hall, you are standing on 300 million year old fossilized limestone. As you look up—the museum’s skylights and solar roof panels contribute to museum conservation efforts to save energy. Does the venue have an approved or preferred vendor list?
We’ve partnered with premiere Chicago businesses to support you in creating unforgettable events. Choose from our approved vendors for catering, floral, decor, lighting, media, and parking. Our vendors are knowledgeable about the Field Museum space, receive special training on our policies.
Is the venue handicap accessible?
Yes.
What time can my event start and end?
Events inside the museum may begin anytime after 6:00pm and must end no later than 2:00am. All bars will close at 1:00am at the latest.
How can I support the Field Museum?
By renting space with us! You are providing support for all of the invaluable research, education programs, and exhibitions the Field Museum has to offer and we appreciate your support.
What is the venue capacity?
In Stanley Field Hall, we can host up to 1,500 for seated dinner and 5,000 for standing reception.

Account Manager

A Field Museum Special Events Account Manager will immediately be assigned to your event upon contracting with the Field Museum. They will work closely with you to ensure that the event proceeds smoothly and efficiently. Your account manager will be present on the day of the event to manage the setup, activities, and breakdown.
