Fox Tucson Theatre

Fox Tucson Theatre is a 1,164-seat historic performing arts venue in downtown Tucson, Arizona, situated at 17 W. Congress Street. Opened on April 11, 1930, as a dual vaudeville and movie house, the 29,000-square-foot building showcases Southwestern Art Deco architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Following a $14-million rehabilitation completed in 2006, the theatre was restored to its original grandeur after sitting abandoned for 25 years. The venue hosts approximately 150 to 160 events each year — from live concerts, comedy, dance, and classic film screenings to corporate gatherings and private celebrations. Five distinct event spaces accommodate a wide range of group sizes: the main auditorium seats 1,164 guests, while the Lobby, Founder's Lounge, and Donor Lounge offer intimate settings for receptions of up to 200. The full-production stage features concert-quality sound and lighting, professional technical staff, and full rigging infrastructure. As a non-profit operated by the Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation, the venue brings national and international talent to southern Arizona while maintaining the warmth and scale that make events feel personal. Event rentals include in-house event management, professional security, dressing rooms, catering prep areas, and the option to have the event name displayed on the iconic marquee.
