Foxfire

Foxfire is a private estate in Monkton, Maryland, set on 127 acres in the Elkridge-Harford hunt country of My Lady's Manor — a historic landscape granted by Lord Baltimore more than 300 years ago. Built in 1932 as a horse breeding and training farm and later redesigned by internationally acclaimed designer Steven Gambrel, the property combines historic architectural character with a refined contemporary aesthetic. The estate accommodates ceremonies and receptions of up to 300 guests across its sweeping grounds, which include rolling pastures, a wisteria-covered pergola, a glistening swimming pool, natural swimming holes, quarries, and working barns where Arabian horses graze. For couples and their closest guests, the 8,000-square-foot Manor House and a converted historic chapel guest cottage offer on-site accommodations for up to 21 people over a full wedding weekend — allowing for a welcome reception, rehearsal dinner, and farewell brunch all on the same property. Foxfire hosts just four large events per year, and all bookings require a professional event planner. Couples are responsible for sourcing their own catering and rentals, giving planners full latitude to bring a distinct vision to the grounds.
