Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort sits on a historic property in Casa Grande, Arizona, roughly 45 minutes south of Phoenix along the Gila Bend Highway. Originally developed in 1959 by San Francisco Giants owner Horace Stoneham as the team's spring training home, the resort takes its name from the Giants franchise and its desert setting — and it became a favorite retreat for luminaries including John Wayne, who kept a penthouse suite at the top of the tower. Today Francisco Grande operates as part of Grande Sports World and welcomes groups ranging from intimate meetings to large-scale weddings and corporate conferences. Nearly 10,000 square feet of flexible indoor meeting space is complemented by generous outdoor areas — including lawn space, a poolside terrace, and a firepit — all overlooking an 18-hole championship golf course. The Sonoran Ballroom, the resort's largest indoor space, accommodates up to 500 guests for receptions and more than 300 for seated dinners.
