Fresno Chaffee Zoo

Fresno Chaffee Zoo is a 26-acre zoological park in Fresno, California, home to nearly 2,000 animals across themed exhibits including African Adventure, Kingdoms of Asia, Zoorassic Park, and the Butterfly Garden. Founded nearly a century ago and accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the zoo has grown into one of the Central Valley's most visited cultural destinations. For private events, the zoo offers ten distinct indoor and outdoor venues — from the expansive African Adventure savanna setting of Canopy Grove to the climate-controlled Simba Room overlooking the lion exhibit. Spaces accommodate gatherings as intimate as 45 guests in the Simba Room to full zoo buyouts welcoming up to 4,000 attendees. Each rental includes full-service catering, flexible formal or casual setup, and optional "Wild Activities" such as giraffe feeding, Stingray Bay access, and the Winged Wonders Bird Show. Whether the occasion is a corporate reception, wedding celebration, family reunion, or gala dinner, Fresno Chaffee Zoo provides a setting unlike any traditional event venue — where wildlife is part of the backdrop.
