Friday Musicale is a nonprofit performing arts organization and event venue in Jacksonville, Florida, with roots stretching back to 1890. Founded as Ladies' Friday Musicale by Claudia L'Engle to advance musical culture in the city, the organization has grown into one of Jacksonville's most storied cultural institutions — presenting concerts, opera, lectures, and educational programs for well over a century. The venue is housed at 645 Oak Street in a building that was rebuilt and reopened in 1998 following an arson fire in 1995. It includes the Concordia Ballroom, a flexible event space with a stage, balcony, and full seating for up to 220 guests theater-style or 120 in banquet configuration. The building also features L'Engle Hall, a neighboring property available for events, as well as a warm and prep kitchen. Friday Musicale is the only North Florida institution to own two Steinway concert grand pianos, which are available for use during events. The combination of historic character, professional performance infrastructure, and a dedicated events team makes it a distinctive setting for weddings, receptions, galas, and private celebrations.
