Glenwood Park

Glenwood Park is a 22-acre outdoor venue managed by the Macomb Park District, set within an oak-hickory forest with more than 150 years of natural history. Rolling hills, towering trees, and a pond create a woodland backdrop suited to gatherings that call for open air and green space over a traditional indoor setting. At the heart of the park stands the Glenwood Stone Shelter, a WPA-era structure built in 1938 that has hosted reunions, picnics, dances, and community celebrations for generations. The shelter accommodates up to 100 guests and sits at the center of the park's grounds. Additional outdoor areas, including an expansive lawn with room for a tent, offer flexibility for larger gatherings or ceremonies with sunset views over the pond. The park also features a volleyball court, disc golf course, playground, and picnic areas — amenities that make it a natural fit for casual celebrations that extend beyond the event itself. Outside catering and bring-your-own alcohol (served by a licensed bartender or caterer) are permitted.
