Green Valley Farm

Green Valley Farm is an 84-acre working farm on Virginia's Eastern Shore in Machipongo, about 45 minutes from Virginia Beach and 15 miles north of Cape Charles. The land has been farmed for over 150 years and is still worked today, with commercial crops growing alongside fruit trees, vegetables, and herbs. The property centers on an 1850s Eastern Shore farmhouse, a guest cottage, a historic barn and outbuildings, horse pastures, gardens, and an orchard of apple, pear, and fig trees. The farm hosts up to 150 guests for weekend rentals, with a wooden arbor for ceremonies and open fields for receptions that suit anything from an elegant wedding to a southern barbecue. A private cottage on the property is available for overnight stays and bridal preparation, and the rental period runs a full 48 hours, Friday through Sunday, with parking for 120 vehicles. Couples are free to bring their own catering and alcohol, giving them flexibility in how they build out their day.
