Halter Ranch is a 2,700-acre regenerative organic estate in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, California, situated along the western edge of the appellation at elevations reaching 1,950 feet in the Santa Lucia Range foothills. Founded in 2000 by Swiss philanthropist Hansjörg Wyss, the property preserves more than 90% of its land as natural landscape — vineyard and olive grove sharing the estate with oak forest, native wildlife corridors, and a gravity-flow winery with 20,000 square feet of wine caves. On-site, guests find the Estate Tasting Room and Restaurant Alice, which serves lunch crafted from the property's garden alongside estate wines. The estate also offers lodging accommodations with vineyard views, including a restored Victorian farmhouse, and regularly hosts wine dinners, live music performances, and seasonal celebrations throughout the year. Halter Ranch holds Regenerative Organic Certified® status, and its solar array offsets more than half of all on-site operations. The estate's combination of a working winery, culinary program, and expansive natural grounds makes it a distinctive setting for gatherings in California's Central Coast wine country.
