Halvorson's Upstreet Café

Halvorson's Upstreet Cafe has been owned and operated by the Halvorson family for over 40 years on the top block of Burlington, Vermont's Church Street Marketplace. The restaurant is known for its casual atmosphere and beautiful outdoor seating in the heart of downtown Burlington. Behind the cafe, just off Church Street, Halvorson's operates a private event space open year-round. The rental includes up to four areas: an open-air courtyard framed by an ivy-covered brick wall, a built-in bar, and two adjacent indoor rooms suited for dining, activities, cocktail hours, or presentations. The space accommodates up to 35 guests seated or 120 guests standing, with the restaurant's professional staff on hand to handle event details. Each summer, Halvorson's also hosts the Courtyard Music Series, a run of evenings featuring local music and beverages in the courtyard, with proceeds benefiting Vermont nonprofits.
