Hands On Children's Museum

Hands On Children's Museum is a 28,000-square-foot museum in Olympia, Washington, with a half-acre Outdoor Discovery Center and views of the East Bay waterfront. The LEED- and Green Globes-certified building holds more than 150 hands-on exhibits, giving private events a playful, whimsical backdrop that's a departure from a typical ballroom or hotel venue. The museum hosts weddings, corporate meetings and receptions, birthday and anniversary parties, holiday parties, memorial services, fundraisers, family reunions, and school dances. Wedding couples can hold their ceremony outdoors and their reception inside, with guests free to explore the galleries and dance to a live band. A dedicated event coordinator plans each event, and the building offers kitchen facilities throughout (refrigerator, freezer, stove and oven, high-temperature dishwasher, and an industrial cooler), ADA-accessible ramps and a centrally located elevator, and video screens that can display slideshows or presentations. For birthday parties, the museum offers daytime party packages for small or large groups as well as private after-hours parties for up to 80 guests, with full access to the museum galleries and, for an additional fee, the Outdoor Discovery Center.
