Harpole's Heartland Lodge is a luxury hunting and vacation resort set on rolling bluffs above the Mississippi River in Nebo, Illinois, roughly 80 miles northeast of St. Louis. Spanning multiple lodges and private cabins, the property accommodates groups ranging from a couple's getaway to gatherings of up to 75 guests for corporate retreats and private events — and can host larger gatherings of up to 600 for select events. Three full lodges — Sunset Valley Lodge, Prairie Ridge Lodge, and The Original Lodge — each offer distinct accommodations, from river-view suites and private whirlpools to fireplaces and canopy beds. Private cabins with 15-foot vaulted ceilings, hot tubs, and wooded seclusion round out the lodging options. A fully equipped conference facility accommodates up to 100 guests, with a separate boardroom for smaller gatherings, LED projector, copy machines, whiteboards, and dual Wi-Fi connections. Beyond meetings, Heartland Lodge offers team-building activities across 700+ acres — ATV and UTV trail riding, sporting clays, paintball, fishing, hunting packages, hayrides along the Mississippi River bluffs, and bonfires.
