Hawk's Shadow Winery

Tucked into the Texas Hill Country just 30 miles west of downtown Austin, Hawk's Shadow Winery sits on a 76-acre estate in Dripping Springs, the self-described wedding capital of Texas. The property includes two vineyards, a winery, a tasting room, and an underground limestone barrel cellar, and is the only gravity flow winery in Texas, a production method that lets guests taste wine directly from the barrel. The winery takes its name from Hawk, a quarter horse who greeted visitors while the owners developed the land and vineyard. That same casual, dog-friendly hospitality carries through to its events: patio picnics, cellar dinners, and wine club gatherings are all part of the regular rhythm of the estate. For weddings, Hawk's Shadow hosts rehearsal dinners for up to 40 guests in its limestone barrel cellar, with ceremonies held on a stone terrace overlooking the rolling hills. Larger receptions can spread across the tasting room and patio, which offer indoor-outdoor flexibility and sweeping Hill Country views.
