Henry County Memorial Park is a 362-acre public park and historic venue in New Castle, Indiana, dedicated as a memorial to Henry County's veterans of World War I and rededicated in 1923 to honor veterans of all wars. In 2020, the park was officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places — a distinction that sets it apart as a historically significant gathering ground in east-central Indiana. The park offers a range of indoor and outdoor rental facilities suited for weddings, receptions, family reunions, and community celebrations. Indoor options include the W.G. Smith Building, which comes equipped with tables and chairs, and a rustic shelter house, while three log cabins and 18 picnic shelters provide open-air settings spread throughout the wooded, pond-dotted grounds. Stone-lined pathways and mature shade trees add to the park's natural character. The park office can be reached at 765-529-1004 to discuss rental availability and event planning.
