Hermitage Farm

Hermitage Farm is a working thoroughbred farm and event venue set on over 700 acres of rolling Kentucky countryside in Goshen, about 20 miles outside Louisville along a Kentucky Scenic Byway. The property traces its roots to 1835, when its Greek Revival Main House was built, and today it balances an active agricultural identity with a full-service private events program. For celebrations and gatherings, the farm offers five distinct venues spanning indoor and outdoor settings. The Hayloft above Barn8 Restaurant accommodates up to 175 guests in a renovated space with reclaimed lumber, radiant globe lights, and built-in audio-visual technology. The historic Main House hosts intimate events for up to 50 guests, while the limestone Patio and adjacent Paddock—framed by pin oak trees and classic black plank fencing—scale from 200 to 700 guests. A state-of-the-art Greenhouse with a Citrus Room and Living Wall Room seats up to 50 for elegant gatherings, and the renovated Stud Barn brings equestrian character to events for up to 90 guests. All events are catered exclusively by Barn8 Restaurant, whose menus center on locally grown vegetables and pasture-raised meats from the farm and surrounding region. Optional bourbon tastings and farm tours round out the experience, making Hermitage Farm one of the few event venues where the setting, the food, and the programming are all rooted in the same land.
